Thanksgiving blessings

The best Thanksgiving news of all: we're being discharged today! We will likely not make it home till evening, and we plan on a full turkey dinner tomorrow.

We will (hopefully) be home for a week before returning for chemo round 2.

Our love and thanks to all of you, our friends and family, for the love, messages, support, and prayers that are being sent to our family.

Enjoy your turkey, eat your pumpkin pie, and hug your family. Have a happy Thanksgiving!!

This is the news I have been waiting since 8 a.m. to hear! My son, Matt, is also being released today and our big bird got a one day repreive as well - although for Mr. Tom I'm not sure there's a big difference between being headless and roasted. All the same to him at some point :-) I hope to see you all when I return from Boston next week and before you go to Hopkins. Have a wonderful T'Day! I am giving special thanks for Henry and all the Schecks. A little boy I hardly know has taken center stage - he is a wonder or courage and bravery, as are you all. Bless you - M.

THANKSGIVING BLESSING

This is a day of Thanksgiving.

The people who visit this blog and all the people whose lives are touched by this personal challenge are truly blessed for knowing the Scheck family.

We all have learned from Henry's Challenge that we should never take anything for granted, to live every day with grace, appreciation, generosity toward each other and humility. We have learned from the strength of Tara and Bryan, the courage of Henry, the spirit and love of his sisters and the generosity of so many caring people.

As the sun shines in the window and the orange and yellow leaves fall from the trees on this beautiful Thanksgiving Day, whatever our belief system, we are grateful and ask that Henry, his parents and his siblings continue to be lifted in the hearts of all.

AMEN.

WOW. What wonderful news. I am so happy for you and Tara but most importantly, little Henry.

I will continue to pray for your family and can't imagine anyone not truly blessed by your willingness to open your heart, despite the obvious pain.

May God continue to watch over your family and provide health and comfort.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving:>
