Doing Good

Henry has been doing great the first few days of chemotherapy. He's been active and aside from not eating much and baths at odd hours of the day, it's not much different than being at home for him. Henry doesn't have to be hooked up to his pole right now as he doesn't have to be hydrated so heavily so he doesn't have the pole dragging behind him. He's got plenty of people to entertain him and lots of toys and distractions.

We're almost done with the bathing routine. Henry will be hooked up again and will not be as free to ride the trike all over the place so easily. He'll start his new chemotherapy drug, cyclophopsphamide (cytoxan), tonight, which lasts another few days. Then he be given his stem cells.

So we're hanging in there for now. Our nights aren't quite as long yet as I expected and Henry's been feeling really good.

Thx for the latest update. Glad Henry has been feeling good--and has some freedome without the IV pole. Keeping all the Schecks in my prayers.

So happy to hear things are so far, so good for little Henry. I'm check your site every day, but don't always comment. My daughter, Rachel, is in Henry's class at The Fun & Learning Center. She talks of him often since his last visit and she loves to watch his videos here. We especially LOVE the one of him with his "cruckie" crashing into the car! :) Miss Lindsey also keeps us informed. BIG HUGS from Rachel to Henry!! She can't wait to see him again - all of our family's best to yours.

You're all in our prayers every day, The Hebbs

So glad to hear that little Henry is doing so well. It does my heart good as I know it does yours.

Hang in there, little Henry. Before you know it, it will be Spring and you'll be riding your Cruckie!
