Thank you all for your outpouring of love and encouragement. After a long day spent in Baltimore at Hopkins for preparatory tests, it was wonderful to read all of your tributes.
Today we met with the oncologist, Dr. Parsons to discuss details of Henry's chemotherapy. We return tomorrow for a meeting with the pediatric surgeons to discuss Henry's central line (a direct intravenous delivery device) for his chemo administration.
Henry had his best day yet - he has come off of the pain medication and is finishing some other medication as well. This reduces side effects and allows his mood to stabilize. He was happy and laughing today, playful and interactive. It was a breath of fresh air for Tara and me.

Hello to Henry and his family. I live in Andover Kansas and am a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Andover. I heard of this immediately through Donna Oeastmann's daugter. Donna is a friend of Linda's. I want you to know you are in my families thoughts and prayers and we are thinking of you. Know God is with you holding all of you through this. You will continue to be in our prayers.
With love,
Andrea Middleton
Dear Scheck Family,
Joseph Campbell said, “Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.”
The outpouring of support you are now experiencing is a testament to who you are and how well you are thought of by others. Your challenges with Henry will further reveal what you are capable of. Never, ever give up.
And trust Henry to help bring you through this as much as you will help him. Every laugh is a miracle, every hug is a gift, every moment is precious. Appreciate them all -- with Henry, with the girls, with each other.
You are and will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
On behalf of my family, with heartfelt hope from Pittsburgh,
-- Rob K

Here's hoping for more 'best days yet'.
Dear Bryan, Tara, Sophie, Anna, and Henry,
Susan Moody has told me about Henry and and the monumental challenge your family is enduring. I can't stop thinking about you all and have already been to the Grotto for prayers for Henry.
Love,

Dear Scheck family, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May God's peace that surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and minds. Don't hesitate to ask for anything. All our love, The Foukes
The thoughts and prayers of the Barone family are with you. Let us know if you ever need anything.
Being so far from our families, we've adopted the stance that "friends are family we make along the way". You guys are our family and we'll do all we can for you. We're just up the street, and I know we aren't home much, but you can call or drop by anytime. If you need anything...errands run, babysitting, whatever....please don't hesitat for a moment to ask! Hugs and kisses for Henry!
Christina Barone
Of course, I'm thinking of you every moment. Many hugs and prayers to you and your extended family. Be strong.
Your friend,
Maria Duva
Bryan & Tara,
Raina and I heard about Henry from Lisa Dodson (Duva) last night.
Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Remember, too, that we are in Frederick and if there is anything we can do, please do not hesitate to call. We'd be happy to help, if we can.
