Thought of you and Tara and the girls all day today and spent a lot of time thinking about Henry. The boys saw that I had his birthday on the calendar and we talked a lot about him today. We talked about his special firetruck 4th birthday party and how much fun he had playing outside with the "big" kids in the neighborhood, and how much he loved playing with the grill bubble maker. I will always remember him toddling in and out of the garage looking for toys and of course he always found something, even in our mess. He was a very special little boy and we will always hold him close to our hearts. Just wanted to let you know that we were thinking of him today. Happy Birthday Henry - we miss you!
I can't remember how I found your blog, but I stop in when I think I can handle the truth. While I am no stranger to pain, I have not experienced your terrible affliction. A dear friend lost her daughter to negligent behavior from a caretaker, and I find so much wisdom in your words to help me be there for her. Thank you for continuing to share this most unthinkable loss.
Henry sounds like a lovely boy, and I'm sorry I never had the chance to know him. The internet has given you an amazing tool to spread the gift of Henry. I'm happy, despite the tears I shed here, to get to know him.

Happy birthday to angel Henry. My niece Kyra passed away in 1996 from a brain tumor and we always try to mark her birthday in some special way.
She was the oldest among the cousins but now they've all passed her. It's been a long time but still so bittersweet.
Love to your family on Henry's birthday.
