I lay down with him tonight to put him down.
"Did you have a nice Valentine's Day Henry?"
"Yes, there was only one pinwheel." (referring to their gifts - he got the pinwheel)
-- long pause --
"Do you know why they call 'sugar snap peas' 'sugar snap peas'?"
"Why Henry?"
"Because they 'snap'."
(chuckling under my breath) "Good call man"
-- another long pause --
"I just don't know how those stink bugs get in the house..."
"Me either"
"They stink"
"They sure do"
-- long pause, I think he's asleep --
"Sweet dreams Daddy"
"You too Henry, Good night"
